What is Earthing? Grounding?
Reconnecting yourself to the Earth.
Earthing is a therapeutic technique that “grounds” or reconnects you with the planet. The basic idea is that the electrical charges emitted from Earth have a positive effect on us. Grounding has been shown to restore the bodies’ natural defenses.
Grounding can also mean being connected to yourself but for this purpose we are talking about going outside and connecting to the Earth’s elements.
How does it help? What does the research show?
Cardiovascular improvement
Specifically it has been shown to reduce red blood cell clumping

Elevates Mood
Restoration to body’s natural state (great for jet lag)

AND MORE!
How do you do it? How do we know if it’s working?
There are ways to create a connection while indoors - windows open - sitting quietly listening to nature. Follow your breath for a minute. Stand like a tree. Take a cold shower.
I recommend grounding/earthing outside in natural elements as much as possible to get maximum results. Connect with the Earth. Go bare feet on grass, sand, etc. Use your hands to connect with the ground or lay down completely and let your body connect with the ground. Take a swim in salt water.
You feel centered, strong, balanced, less stressed.
How often should you do it? DAILY. As often as possible - especially when you feel “off” balanced, lost, struggling, etc.
If you would like more information or help with adding grounding into your mix, reach out and let me know.
